Resonate Identity Design by SomeOne UK

This identity, created by design and branding practice ‘SomeOne‘ is simply stunning and absolutely blew me away. The identity was designed for Resonate, one of the UK’s leading PR groups.

In order to create the visual effect you see below, they basically froze a bunch of flowers with liquid nitrogen then detonated them with a small explosive charge that smashed them to pieces. All the action was captured on a Photron Fastcam SA1 in Full HD at 2000 fps. You can read an in-depth post over here on the full process it took to create the visuals you see below. You can also check out a nice slow-motion clip of the guys from ‘SomeOne‘ exploding flowers over here, here and here.

Hyper Realistic HDR Photos

It was around about a year ago I came across some incredible photos on Flickr by a guy simply going by the name of L.J. He had taken a collection of photographs of homeless people using a hyper realistic technique (possibly HDRi, otherwise known as High Dynamic Range Imaging) to give the photos a surreal depth and texture that you couldn’t normally obtain with your average camera.

I’m not sure if L.J. used his camera to achieve the effect or if he’s adjusted them in Photoshop, but either way he’s captured an amazing set of candid shots that are definitely worth a look. Check them out via this link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/16536699@N07/sets/72157622905229717/

Vivian Maier – Street Photographer

This is just simply amazing. A Chicago man has uncovered the work of what is thought to be some of the finest street photography of the mid 20th century by an unknown street photographer by the name of Vivian Maier. A huge archive of her work has been found & is currently being restored and exhibited around the world. Just watch the clip below to see some of these breathtaking images as well as some interesting interviews about the discovery of these photographs.

Tyler Shields – Photographer/Director

I recently came across the work of Tyler Shields, a super talented photographer and director based in L.A. Tyler got his start directing music videos then began shooting photography. More recently he’s become known for his work with video portraits and photography that captures celebrities and musicians using his own unique artistic style and flare.

Tyler recently shot an incredibly sexy video of actors/models, Zelda Williams and Colton Haynes. I won’t say much more so just watch the video below and judge for yourself.
